New Work Evolution

With the launch of ChatGPT, artificial intelligence is on everyone's lips and artificial intelligence goes much further, for example in sales processes, production processes and delivery services, but also medical care, education, art and entertainment. Dall.E - generating and editing images - promises only peaceful use of the technology. Can its use be foreseen and planned? It is certain that AI poses risks and that many jobs will be lost, especially in very labor-intensive and repetitive areas such as transportation. However, we also know from experience that new technologies always open up new potential and employment opportunities.

In the IT sector, up to 70% of employees work 'remotely', i.e. they are not in the office. Worldwide, 16% of all companies have no offices and employees are organized remotely. The majority of employees can and want to work from home or another location, and being able to work hybrid in and out of the office makes a job more attractive. People are more effective at home and commuting distances and costs are eliminated. And those who can will move to the mountains or the lake for the summer and work from there. The trend will intensify.

Climate change will have a major global impact on the world of work. It is assumed that many people will have to leave their homes because environmental changes will have such a negative impact. According to some estimates, the number of climate refugees could reach 1.2 billion by 2050. The pressure on regions that are less affected would be immense. Climate change will force us to completely rethink work and the economy (keyword: regenerative economy) and we will develop completely new working models and workplaces.

We easily forget that nothing stays the same.
